Fall Showcase Fashion Event, Including Designer Brands at Bargain Prices, at Council Re|Sale Store in Berkley, MI, on August 30, 2026!

Pre-Showcase sales include a $30 fill-a-bag sale and 90% off entire store sale.

 Council Re|Sale (3297 W. 12 Mile Road, Berkley, MI 48072) one of the oldest resale shops in metro Detroit, will be holding its ever popular Fall Showcase fashion extravaganza on Sunday August 30 from noon to 4:30 p.m. This year’s event, like many others, will feature designer and high-end brands of fall clothing and accessories for men, women and children, including day wear, evening wear, jackets and coats, shoes and handbags. Women’s brands to look out for include St. John, Johnny Was, Burberry, Stuart Weitzman, Madewell, Chicos, B.May bags and many more. Men’s clothing includes suits from Hickey Freeman, Ted Baker, Versace, Ralph Lauren and many Italian brands. Council Re | Sale is operated by National Council of Jewish Women, Michigan (NCJW | MI) and is known for carrying high-end clothing, including designer wear, jewelry, shoes and household items.

“Every year we are blown away by the fantastic donations from the community which keep our store in business and this year has been no different,” said NCJW|MI President Margo Stocker. “These donations allow us to pass on beautiful clothing, sometimes gently worn, sometimes brand new, to our loyal shoppers who can then enjoy high-end fashion at bargain prices.”

Council Re|Sale store manager Rochelle Adler,

said that a must-see part of the store for Fall Showcase is the beautiful houseware goods department. “We have everything from mid-century modern items to pink depression glass, milk glass, collectible Pyrex dishes and Starbucks mugs, and an outstanding Lucite collection,” she said. “For anyone wanting to upgrade their home décor for fall entertaining we have you covered, whatever your budget.”

Prior to Fall Showcase, shoppers can stock up on last-minute summer clothing, accessories and home decor, with special sales:

• Sunday August 23 noon -5 p.m. 75 % off the entire store
• Monday August 24 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. $30 fill-a-bag sale (excluding home décor and jewelry)
• Tuesday August 25 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. 90% off the entire store

The store will then be closed Wednesday August 26 through Saturday August 29 in preparation for Fall Showcase. Council Cash and other store discounts cannot be used during pre-showcase sales or during Fall Showcase

Council Re|Sale, established in 1934,

is an important fundraising venture for NCJW|MI, which uses money raised to support programs that help women, children and families in Michigan. Recent projects of the 135-year-old organization include the annual Back 2 School Store which provided free clothing and school supplies to 700 Detroit children in need earlier this month and the Backpack Project which provided backpacks and school supplies in July to 1300 homeless children and children in need in Oakland County. Other initiatives include literacy outreach, fleece blankets for children in hospitals and in foster care, and Kosher Meals on Wheels. The organization is also at the forefront of voter advocacy and women’s reproductive rights, holding programs and educational initiatives to promote these issues.
