Savvy Sliders Helps Local Students Start the School Year Strong with More 2 Love Backpack Giveaway

Savvy Sliders Oak Park store provided 200 students with free backpacks and school supplies along with free kids’ meals and family-friendly activities.

Savvy Sliders brought its More 2 Love spirit to the Oak Park community on Monday, August 17, helping local families prepare for the upcoming school year with a special backpack giveaway at its Greenfield Road location.

As part of the community-focused event,

Savvy Sliders distributed 200 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to local students and families, helping ease some of the financial burden that comes with back-to-school shopping. The event also gave families an opportunity to enjoy a day of free entertainment and food, with every child receiving a free Kids Meal and $1 hand-spun custard shake!

The event featured a balloon arch and decoration, a DJ, face painting, and a photo wall, creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere for students and their families as they prepared to head back to school.

Savvy Sliders selected its Oak Park location specifically to give back to the surrounding neighborhood and directly support local families in need.

By providing backpacks and school essentials at no cost, the event aimed to help students begin the school year feeling prepared, confident, and supported.
