Oktoberfest at Busch’s Fresh Food Market Brings the Flavors of Germany to Southeast Michigan, Sept. 21 to Oct. 4, 2026!

Oktoberfest is a storewide celebration at Busch’s Fresh Food Market, bringing the flavors of Germany to southeast Michigan with traditional German foods, seasonal beers, fresh produce and Busch’s store-made products. From September 21 to October 4, stores will be overflowing with brats, pretzels and sauerkraut plus other German specialties, desserts and beverages, so guests can enjoy the flavors of Oktoberfest at home.

This year, Sauerkraut Bread,

exclusive to Busch’s and which is made from scratch and handcrafted by hand by Busch’s artisan Bread Team in Clinton, Michigan, is being introduced. The sauerkraut adds subtle moisture and a tangy depth of flavor, similar to characteristics found in sourdough, while complementing the traditional rye profile. The flavor is earthy, robust, and well-balanced, making it a versatile addition to a variety of meals and sandwiches. It is delicious paired with cured & smoked meats, pastrami, corned beef, smoked tofu, sausages, grilled brats, franks or knockwurst, melted Swiss Cheese (or any cheese!). Add sharp German mustard or Dijon too. The bread is also great served with soups and stews.
