Join in on the fun on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 2 PM to 5 PM in downtown Royal Oak for a Halloween celebration like no other! Hosted by the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by the Royal Oak DDA, the 43rd Royal Oak DDA Spooktacular promises a thrilling day packed with local adventures, enchanting characters, and plenty of candy!

Adventure Avenue takes center stage at Fifth Street Plaza, presented by Vibe Credit Union.

Meet a towering 9-foot T-Rex and its baby dino sidekick up close! Kids can enjoy exciting trick-or-treating adventures around downtown, encounter beloved characters like Spider-Man and Elsa, and participate in fun activities, including face painting and the “Scare Away Hunger” booth, where attendees can bring non-perishable food donations and help fill the bin for those in need!

Centennial Commons is the place to be for an afternoon filled with laughter and entertainment, presented by Woodward Corner Market and Meijer. Enjoy a DJ dance party, a magical performance, and a special show by the ROHS Dance Team! Don’t miss the costume parade and contest hosted by Genisys Credit Union, with categories for the spookiest, cutest, and most creative costumes — perfect for all ages.
