The Mommy MD Guide to Losing Weight and Feeling Great {Review}
I received a copy of the Mommy MD Guide to Losing Weight and Feeling Great for this review. All opinions expressed here are honest and my own.
Okay moms, who here is striving to lose that extra weight? After having babies, we know it can be a challenge for many of us to lose that weight and even feel great. {Stress can even be a factor in this.} Other’s are just blessed with stellar genes that the weight falls off without even trying, but this category of moms may be struggling with fatigue and with the every day demands of being a mother. I have never heard one mom say that they are energetic all the time and feel absolutely wonderful. Sure, we have our really good days, then we have our days where it feels like we are climbing a mountain. As I type this, I am currently going through that, it’s been an exhausting week. Who here can relate, say I!
I was just recently given the opportunity of reviewing the Mommy MD Guide to Losing Weight and Feeling Great and I think it’s a great resource for moms eager to reach their goals.
Their motto is:
“Motherhood is a journey. Mommy MDs are your guides.”
The Mommy MD Guide to Losing Weight and Feeling Great by Rallie McAllister, MD, MPH, and Jennifer Bright Reich, is filled with more than “700 tips from doctors who are mothers and what they use to slim down, shape up, fight fatigue, boost mood, look great, and feel better.” It’s always encouraging to receive this kind of advice from doctors (who also happen to be mothers) who understand our daily struggles and physical concerns.

This book is awesome! It is helping me so much and I think I will be able to achieve my goals a little bit better with a different view and mind-set on things. It’s also very helpful to have a list of healthy recipes to help boost energy, etc. as it’s easy to give into things like sugar, etc. when you are feeling stressed {as I take a piece of chocolate out of my child’s candy bag} ha!
I do work out every morning at Planet Fitness and do pretty well with my eating habits and diet so the piece of chocolate really is no biggie. Thankfully, I have control through the years of discipline. Trust me, that alone was rough.
I highly recommend this Mommy MD Guide to all moms out there. We could all use some tips and advice to help with our daily life. It can become so easy to not care for ourselves as we worry more about our families. I am learning it’s no good if mommy isn’t taking care of herself too.
I hope that this book will help you achieve your goals and encourage you like it has me so far. I look forward to utilizing this book as much as possible when I need a boost in energy, confidence, etc. It’s an excellent mom tool and resource. As a Christian mom, I believe it’s important to pray and do what we can. This most definitely falls into this category.
