Shopping in downtown Milford for the holiday season just got more exciting! The merchants of downtown Milford have come together to recognize Small Business Saturday and patrons stand to benefit this year when they visit on Nov. 30.

Milford business owners Janine Rudzki, of Aubergine Gallery, and Jennifer O’Rourke, of Bling Boutique, have joined forces to coordinate a brand-new special Village-wide promotion for this Small Business Saturday. It involves two special incentives to shop local in downtown Milford on Saturday, Nov. 30:

  • Secret Shopper – Throughout the day, unsuspecting shoppers will be selected at random while making purchases at local stores. They will receive $10 in Huron Valley Chamber Bucks to be used toward their purchase. Similar to downtown Milford’s popular Dinner’s On Us program, this offers another way for Milford business owners to thank and give back to the patrons who make their businesses so successful.
  • All patrons who shop in multiple locations in downtown Milford on Saturday, Nov. 30 will be  invited to bring three receipts (must be dated 11/30/13) to either the Aubergine Gallery or Bling Boutique for a chance to fill out a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of a dozen gift certificates featuring downtown Milford’s businesses. The gift certificates have been donated by Milford business owners and discounts and freebies for food, goods and services at places like Salon Del Sol or Milford Baking Co. to name just two.

Rudzki said they hope to expand the Small Business Saturday program from one day to continue each and every Saturday during the holiday season in future years.
