If you are anything like me, one look at the closets of movie stars you’re drooling. Not only are they spacious enough to live in, but there seems to be a spot for everything. Most of us aren’t lucky enough to have a closet, or house that big. But by following the tips below you’ll learn how to organize your closet like a movie star (and feel like one too!).
Eliminate Unused Stuff: Really? When’s the last time you actually wore this? Ask yourself this when initially going through your closet. Celebrities are always donating stuff to charities; why can’t you? Make a pile of clothes and goods that you don’t use anymore, but for some reason you keep them in your closet. Don’t worry, you’ll feel better about yourself knowing that you helped someone else out by donating those materials.
How Much Do I Use What: Are you always looking for the perfect purse? Do have a sweater that you constantly wear? Make piles of your stuff with a common theme that is left over after going through your closet. The commonality could be color, length, or fit.
Place By Frequency: Give yourself less headache by placing items that you use the most where it can be reached easily. Try only placing clothes on the rack. Place purses belts, and other items that might be in your closet and used frequently in bins. To make yourself feel more like a movie star, go out and treat yourself to cute bins that match. This will make your closet look more aesthetically pleasing.
What Makes You Happy: If you care enough about your clothes and your closet to organize it, then you probably would enjoy decorating your closet. Choose colors and textures that speak to you. Consider getting new and matching hangers. Match your hangers to storage bins. By finishing off your closet with decor that speaks to you it will really make you feel like a star, and isn’t that all that matters.
