Why did SEA LIFE choose Michigan?

SEA LIFE chose Michigan as its 7th American destination due to its central location in the Midwest and proximity to Canada, its awe-inspiring Great Lakes waterways which will be highlighted in our exhibits, and its reputation as a best-in-class entertainment destination.

Oakland County specifically is home to great family-friendly attractions like Great Lakes Crossing Outlets and the Palace of Auburn Hills, and a strong economy and family population.

Great Lakes Crossing Outlets is a world-class, family-friendly destination that attracts thousands of southeast Michigan residents and tourists each year by offering unique shopping and experiences that cannot be found anywhere else in Michigan. Families come and spend entire days at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets for entertainment.

For these reasons, it is the perfect fit for SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium, which will provide guests with a unique, one-of-a-kind experience they cannot find anywhere else.
