I received three samples of SparX candy in exchange for this review.  All opinions expressed here are honest and my own.

Have you ever heard of a candy that is actually good for you?  I honestly never have until I was introduced to SparX candy.  It is a product of Xlear.

SparX candies are just what moms and all health-conscious people have been craving.  SparX candy is sweetened with 100% natural xylitol.

Now the question is, is this candy tasty and something that kids will appreciate as much as their moms?  I tried out all three flavors along with my girls:

  • Fruit
  • Citrus
  • Berry

I actually enjoy all three flavors, but my favorite being berry.  My girls leaned towards the fruit and berry more than citrus.

SparX says that these work “great as a snack or as part of a program to improve overall oral and upper respiratory heath.”

Interesting right? Is this really possible with little candies?

If you are not familiar with xylitol, it is an:

“All natural sweetener that has been promoted by dentists and dental hygienists.  Clinical studies have verified the positive effects that regular consumption of xylitol can have on improving overall dental health as well as promoting mineral absorption into the teeth.  SparX can be used as a part of a program to strengthen tooth enamel or they can be eaten just for their great taste.  And since xylitol is a natural sweetener that doesn’t interfere with blood sugar levels or insulin production in the body, it is safe for those on a sugar-controlled diet.  Mom’s will love that kids can enjoy their candy without causing the sugar highs or crashes common with highly sweetened candies.”

And there you have it.

What are other ingredients in SparX candy?

  • Gum Arabic
  • Natural Flavors
  • Calcium Glycerophosphate
  • Magnesium Stearate
  • Beeswax
  • Natural Colors

There are only 3 calories per serving.  This is for a serving size of 5 pieces. 1.2g of xylitol.  It is definitely strange yet refreshing not to see high amounts of sugar on the nutrition facts for candy.

You can currently purchase SparX candy on their website or on Amazon.

I would like to thank the folks over at Xlear for allowing us the opportunity to try out their SparX candy.  We are still enjoying them daily.
