Hi lovies! I was so excited when Lindsey told me about this opportunity to try out Hard Candy’s newest foundation. I’m a complete sucker for trying out new makeup products, and I especially love when they are affordable.

Here’s a little bit about my makeup history. I’ve loved makeup forever, check out this photo of me “wear” lipstick as a two-year old.

About three years ago I started training hard on professional makeup techniques by watching Youtubers and implementing what I saw. Truly, makeup is one of my passions now. Not only for myself, but I love helping my friends find makeup products that make them feel even more beautiful inside and out. Now, I show what I know on my own blog, DIY Made Simple, and on my Youtube channel, here. Now that you know what makes me qualified to review this product, let’s get to what I thought.

Hard candy is a brand I haven’t had much experience working with, but I have read and watched many reviews of their products. All their products are very affordable, and can be found at your local Walmart. Some of their products are even dupes for more expensive brands. Let’s see how these products stood up to my tests.

I was sent the Hard Candy Glamoflauge Full Coverage Foundation and Translucent Matifying Powder for consideration. This full coverage foundation comes in eight shades and is only $7.

Immediately, I was impressed with the amount of product you receive for only $7. Most drugstore foundations are $10-12 dollars, and only include half as much product, so it’ll a great value! The pump top keeps bacteria from spreading, and is a great sanitary alternative to foundations you have to pour out on your hand.

The formula is thick, and gives a medium to full coverage. I enjoy the build-ability of the foundation, which allows me to give more coverage on sections of my face that are suffering from breakouts.

My face tends to be dry, but I found that this foundation was very moisturizing and so it was a great option for me. However, if you have oily skin, I wouldn’t recommend it because it might accentuate shine after long hours of wearing. This foundation boasts about lasting for 12 hours, and I definitely agree. It stayed put for hours without needing a touch up!

I was also impressed with the translucent powder that accompanied this foundation. It’s a great option for matifying a liquid based foundation and locking it into place. Due to the white tint of the “transulcet” powder, it will give a flashback in photographs, which is something to consider before wearing any makeup.

Overall, I was impressed with the longevity and coverage provided by Hard Candy’s camoflauge foundation. It’s a great option for any looking for day-to-day wearability, or looking to grow their makeup collection.

Xoxo,

Stephanie
