The “Big Reveal” in Milford Returns November 19th!

Milford unveils holiday cheer, new pop-up shop

‘Big Reveal’ returns to kick off holiday season with shopping, dining, more

WHAT: Visitors are invited to join in the festivities as the Village of Milford kicks off the holiday season with the Big Reveal and Dinner’s On Us. Each year, the Village’s Main Street businesses gift wrap the exterior of their window displays as beautiful Christmas presents. When the clock strikes half-past 6 p.m., community members are instructed to tear down the gift wrap, revealing elaborately decorated holiday displays. Throughout the evening, patrons dining in downtown Milford also have a chance to receive a free meal courtesy of local businesses and community members.

New this year, visitors can shop for holiday gifts in a limited time pop-up shop created by Uptown Collection. From Nov. 19 to Dec. 24 only, the pop-up shop will offer visitors an exciting and unique shopping experience, located on the corner of Main Street and West Commerce Road (the former gas station). Patrons can expect to find a gathering of home and garden goods as well as Milford-inspired gifts.

RETAIL: The perfect holiday kickoff, the Big Reveal is a fun evening for the Village visitors and merchants alike. The new boutique will feature one-of-a-kind home décor and furniture with fashionable rustic flair.

DINING: The evening also marks the beginning of the Dinner’s On Us program, which surprises randomly-selected patrons at downtown Milford restaurants by picking up their tab at dinner. A neighborly group of downtown businesses and community members have come together to cover the dinner bill for nearly 90 tables of unsuspecting visitors throughout the season, for the simple purpose of spreading holiday cheer and thanking visitors for supporting the downtown shopping and dining district. The group will drop into Main Street restaurants each Thursday between Nov. 19 and Dec. 24 from 5:30-9 p.m.

PARKING:Convenient parking is located on Main Street and in three parking lots, located off of Main Street on the east and west sides of the street. Effective Thursday, Nov. 5, visitors may also use Parkmobile mobile application to streamline payment for the existing parking meters along Main Street, as well as the new parking lot on the corner of Main Street and West Commerce Road (the former gas station site).

SPONSORS: The Big Reveal and Dinner’s On Us are made possible by the Milford Business Association and the Milford Downtown Development Authority.
