Car Seat Safety Tips for the Cold Winter Months

Cold weather is on its way. By now you are probably making plans to winterize your vehicle making it ready for those harsh cold winter elements.  Have you considered cold weather safety tips during the cold weather?
This is something I wish I would have known to implement when my kids were in car seats.  Here are some very important tips you will want to consider when it comes to your child’s car seat safety and the cold winter months.  These tips are thanks to Kara Carrero.
1. Use a heat pack – This seems like it should be a no-brainer, but how clever to think of this when it’s frigid and dangerously cold.  Basically, you microwave and place in their car seat prior to putting them in it.  Nothing worse than cold seats with bulky winter attire.

2. Winter Ponchos – What is a winter poncho?  I have never heard of a winter poncho so this definitely caught my attention.  It provides extra warmth.

3. Put child’s coat on backwards -This may sound silly or even odd, but it makes a lot of sense.
