“Matt’s Munchies-An Island Getaway In Your Mouth!” {Review}

I received samples of Matt’s Munchies in exchange for this post.  Any opinions expressed here are honest and my own.

If it was up to most kids, they’d eat chocolate-covered everything all year round, but something about the summertime really heightens their consumption of junk food. Whether the summer heat has your child skipping to the ice cream truck regularly, or weekly BBQs have them eating countless hot dogs and cheeseburgers, it can be difficult to maintain healthy habits.

Now you can ditch the sugar-packed snacks and calorie-dense foods for a healthy alternative like Matt’sMunchies, a three-ingredient fruit snack that contains one serving of fruit per package. Each Matt’s Munchies snack is USDA Organic, Gluten-free, Kosher-Pareve, Vegan and Non-GMO Project Verified. Available in delicious flavors like Island Mango and Apple-licious, the fun roll-up is the perfect on-the-go snack for the littles ones this summer.

The brand is founded by Robert Mograbi, a long-time vegetarian and self-proclaimed finicky snacker, who craved a healthier and more filling snack that would support his lifestyle.  He named the company after his son, Matt, who helped develop the unique flavors such as Island Mango, Apple-Licious, Mango Acai, Banana Coconut, and Mango Giner that are on shelves today.

“We encountered the challenge of living a healthy lifestyle at home and facing sugar-laden snacks in the grocery store, ” says Matt Mograbi, Vice President of Matt’s Munchies.  “Using high-quality organic fruits and spices, we were able to develop a delicious USDA Organic, gluten-free, Kosher-Pareve, Vegan and Non-GMO project Verified snack that seamlessly fit into our lives and so many others.”

Since the brand’s launch in 2008, a wide scope of prominent personalities, such as professional surf photographer Robb Wilson, the NBA’s Oralndo Magic strength and fitness coach Bill Burgos, celebrity fitness trainer John Pierre, Lisa Lillien of Hungry Girl and HB Fit Founder, Hannah Bronfman have become brand enthusiasts. Matt’s Munchies also feeds the smartest and most innovative people in the world at the annual TED conference.

Matt’s Munchies 8 flavors are available in various grocers throughout the US and online at http://www.mattsmunchies.com. A 6-pack of one serving pouches retails for $13.50 while a 12-pack is $25.50.

Matt’s Munchies make great on-the-go snacks.  I received a few samples of these fruit snacks and I must say, they aren’t bad.  They are perfectly dropped onto wax paper strips for easy peeling and eating.  Unfortunately, my kids aren’t a fan of the flavors I received; Island Mango, Mango Acai, and Mango Ginger.  Perhaps they would like Apple-Licious and Banana Coconut.

I would like to thank the folks over at Matt’s Munchies for allowing me to sample their product.  I really enjoyed them!
