“Star Line Obtains Liquor License for Evening Pirate Ship Excursions and  Adds Weekly Fireworks Cruises to Highlight Summer Schedule!”

St. Ignace, Michigan (June 26, 2017) –Star  Line Mackinac Island Hydro-Jet® Ferry has announced it will be offering themed cruises for the 2017 summer season. Passengers will enjoy weekly fireworks displays from St. Ignace on Saturday night Fireworks Cruises and a special Fourth of July Fireworks Cruise to celebrate the holiday. Star Line’s Good Fortune pirate ship has just obtained a liquor license for its daily 8 p.m. cruise from Mackinaw City – the newly added nightly adult cruise aboard the Good Fortune will encourage passengers to channel their inner pirates while enjoying a drink from the onboard cash bar. Additionally, the new liquor license will allow Star Line to charter passengers for private parties and cruises on the Straits of Mackinac. Best known for its high-speed hydro-jet rooster tail boats, Star Line has been recently recognized for its acquisition of the Arnold Line passenger service assets in November 2016 and for its newest addition the Good Fortune pirate ship, added to the fleet in spring 2017.

Details of the new excursions passengers can look forward to this summer, in addition to daily ferry rides to and from the island, include:

·  A nightly adult cruise (21+) aboard the Good Fortune pirate ship. This leisurely cruise departs at 8 p.m. from the Star Line Mackinaw City dock – passengers can expect a 1.5-hour pirate-themed experience. Tickets are $35/person and passengers can purchase beer, wine and other non-alcoholic beverages onboard.

·   Weekly Fireworks Cruises every Saturday night, July 8 – Sept. 2, departing at 9:30 p.m. from the Star Line St. Ignace dock. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and beverages for the 1.5-hour experience, featuring a firework display from St. Ignace. Tickets run $28/adults and $12/children (ages 5-12).

·  Fourth of July Fireworks Cruise – passengers will enjoy a holiday fireworks performance, departing at 9:30 p.m. from both the St. Ignace and Mackinaw City docks. Passengers cruise towards the Mackinac Island Bridge, prior to watching the Mackinaw City, Mackinac Island and St. Ignace fireworks displays. The cost is $40/adults and $15/children.
