Salvation Army Thrift Stores Host Fourth of July sale
Join The Salvation Army Family Thrift Stores as they celebrate summer during the annual Fourth of July sale. Visit any of the nonprofit’s 37 metro Detroit locations to enjoy 50 percent off clothing from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 4.
In addition to 50 percent savings on clothing, shoppers will have the opportunity to pick up great deals on accessories, home goods and other items during bonus sales announced throughout the day.
“Stock up on summer essentials – from grilling, camping and picnicking gear to shorts, swimwear and water shoes, we have everything you need to enjoy the summer,” said Rani Gabbara, director of retail operations for The Salvation Army Southeast Michigan Adult Rehabilitation Center. “Not only will you save money at the Fourth of July sale, you will help us save the lives of men and women fighting addiction at our rehabilitation centers.”
Proceeds from all stores benefit The Salvation Army Southeast Michigan Adult Rehabilitation Center programs at the Detroit men’s and Romulus women’s campuses. The ARC offers addicts an opportunity to rebuild their lives through a long-term residential self-help program.
All merchandise is donated to The Salvation Army thrift stores by local community members. Donations of gently used clothing, accessories, housewares, furniture and toys may be dropped off at a Salvation Army thrift store donation center near you.
Founded by William Booth in London, England, in 1865, The Salvation Army is a faith-based, non-profit organization dedicated to serving people in need without discrimination. The ARC is an integral part of TSA’s mission, and offers substance-abusing adults the opportunity to rebuild their lives through a voluntary, short-term residential self-help program designed to establish a sense of dignity, self-esteem and personal strength that will allow them to resist the desire to abuse a substance and regain their rightful place as contributing members of society. Completely self-funded, the ARC draws its entire operating budget from the revenue of the 37 Salvation Army Thrift Stores located in Southeast Michigan.
