MOM Upside Down is WOW – One Mom’s Journey Raising Two Kids with Special Needs and Practical Advice for your Journey is an insightful book on the struggles and triumphs of raising kids with special needs.  Lynn lays everything out on the table and doesn’t miss a beat to explain the highs and lows of her personal journey yet manages to inspire other parents and move them in the right direction for the help they need.  Lynn touches base regarding:

*Doctors

*Counselors

*Diagnosis

*Medications

*School Psychiatric Hospitals

*Family

*Alternative Medicine

*Spiritual Guidance

*Transition to Adulthood

*Resources

In the books “Introduction”, Lynn states “You are the advocate for your child, they cannot advocate for themselves.  Children with special needs need even more parenting, supervision, and love than “normal” children.” And this Advocate path is what Lynn perused for many years to raise her children to adulthood with many highs and lows, good days and bad days, but in the end…knowing she was moving in the right direction for her children.

Having special needs children can be a tough journey with many dead ends, but Lynn is hoping her book will help other Advocate parents to push forward by sharing her experiences and cheat sheets to getting the help they so rightly deserve.

MOM Upside Down is WOW can be purchased at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

About the Author Lynn Madison

I am a mother of 2 children. The fact that these 2 children both have special needs makes life all the more interesting and challenging at the same time. I am a graduate of the “school of hard knocks”. I have made a lot of mistakes along the way, but hopefully you can benefit from them. So far I have been: Mom, Advocate, T-ball Coach, Cub Scout Leader, Water Mom for Baton, Cheerleading Coach, Cheerleading Board Member, Softball Coach, the list goes on. I loved every minute of it. Now my role is changing to an even bigger area, helping others based on all of my experiences. I can’t wait to take on this new challenge!
