Grace Centers of Hope Kicks Off Annual $2.05 Holidays Meal Fundraising Campaign TODAY, October 1st!

PONTIAC, Mich., Oct. 1, 2018 – Grace Centers of Hope, one of the oldest and largest faith-based outreach organizations to disadvantaged individuals and families in Michigan, today announced the launch of its annual “$2.05 Holiday Meal Campaign” beginning Oct. 1 through Dec. 31, 2018. The annual fundraising campaign helps cover the cost to provide nutritious meals for the increased number of individuals and families who participate in recovery and rehabilitation programs at Grace Centers of Hope during the winter season.

“Our annual holiday meal campaign is extremely important to the men, women and children who are enrolled in life-saving programs at Grace Centers of Hope,” said Grace Centers of Hope CEO Pastor Kent W. Clark. “Donations help provide hot meals and a warm place to sleep at night, which is why we are hopeful that our neighbors in the community will join us by supporting those individuals with the greatest need.”

At Grace Centers of Hope, it costs an average of $2.05 to provide a nutritious meal to the individuals and families enrolled in programs. Since the nonprofit organization serves more than 100,000 meals each year with the kitchen operating at full-capacity during the winter months, a gift of just $25 can support up to 12 people. Donations to the Grace Centers of Hope $2.05 Holiday Meal Campaign can be made online at www.gracecentersofhope.org or by calling 1-855-HELP-GCH.

Donations also can be made through the purchase of meal tickets at each of the four Grace Centers of Hope Thrift Stores. The locations are: 43584 Van Dyke, Sterling Heights; 23119 Coolidge Hwy., Oak Park; 5919 Highland Rd., Waterford Township; and 26740 Dequindre Rd., Warren.

As one of southeast Michigan’s oldest and largest faith-based organizations, Grace Centers of Hope provides a continuum of care for men, women and children who are experiencing homelessness, addiction or domestic violence. From emergency food and shelter to long-term life and work skills programs, the organization helps empower individuals to become productive and responsible citizens.

With an annual operating budget of $8.4 million, Grace Centers of Hope accepts no government funding and 100 percent of its revenues are obtained through private support, its four thrift stores and fundraising initiatives held throughout the year.
