The LEGO MOVIE 2: The Second Part {Our “Review”} In Theaters February 8, 2019!

I received the opportunity of an advanced screening of Lego Movie 2: The Second Part in exchange for this review. Any opinions expressed here are honest and my own.

If you loved the first LEGO movie, you are going to LOVE “The Second Part.” I do not want to ruin too much of the movie but first, here is a brief summary:

“The citizens of Bricksburg face a dangerous new threat when LEGO DUPLO invaders from outer space start to wreck everything in their path. The battle to defeat the enemy and restore harmony to the LEGO universe takes Emmet, Lucy, Batman and the rest of their friends to faraway, unexplored worlds that test their courage and creativity.”

Let’s just say parents and kids alike are going to love this. From the fun references for adults growing up in the 80’s to 90’s to the hilarious stylings and personalities of the well-known characters, the LEGO movie is sure to please and has something for everybody. I couldn’t stop laughing and the laughter of my girls and other kiddies experiencing the advanced screening was so worth it. You definitely can tell “who gets what” per lines and scenes.

Excuse the weird movie poster behind the girls in the pic below, haha! Didn’t notice it until after the pic was taken by the movie rep! 😉 The focus should be on the LEGO Movie poster. LOL!

“I loved the movie! I feel like “The Second Part” geared more towards the older crowd as they would be able to catch onto the jokes about Justice League and Batman. The music numbers were intriguing and hilarious! Make sure to stay till the very end… you do not want to miss the credits… they’re awesome!” ~Kelly, 15

Like my older daughter mentioned, you will definitely WANT to stay until the end credits. It’s so worth it. I want to share more, but I won’t. It’s that kind of review, no spoiler alert here. 😉 You have to see it for yourself. Let’s just say we can’t wait until it is released on DVD and Blu-Ray!
