• Detroit Tree Lighting
Friday, November 22nd from 5 pm- 12 am
Visit Campus Martius to enjoy performances from the Detroit Youth Choir, Mayor Hawthorne, Yuka Sato (world champion figure skater) & more! This event is one you don’t want to miss. More information available on the Facebook Event Page.
• Walled Lake Tree Lighting
Monday, December 2nd from 6 pm-9 pm
Stop by the Walled Lake City Library for pictures with The Grinch, festive crafts and fun! The tree lighting will take place at 7 pm. More information available on the Facebook Event Page.
• Waterford Tree Lighting
Tuesday, December 3rd from 6 pm-8 pm
Visit the Waterford Township Hall for crafts, cookie decorating, a visit with Santa & his reindeer, and musical entertainment! Please bring a can of non-perishable food or an unwrapped toy for the Waterford Goodfellows holiday baskets. More information available on the Facebook Event Page.
• Canton Tree Lighting
Wednesday, December 4th from 6 pm to 8:30 pm
The official tree lighting will take place at the Summit On the Park at 6:30 pm. Activities are both indoors & outdoors and include crafts, entertainment, refreshments, and visits with Santa! More information available on the Facebook Event Page.
• Wixom Tree Lighting
Friday, December 6th from 5 pm-11 pm
Visit the Wixom Community Center for a fun-filled family night enjoying Christmas carols, crafts, pictures with Santa and his reindeer, horse-drawn carriage rides, live music, food vendors, and a beer tent! More information available on the Facebook Event Page.
• Auburn Hills Tree Lighting
Friday, December 6th from 6 pm-8 pm
Check out downtown Auburn Hills to watch Santa, Mrs. Clause, and The Mayor light up the Christmas tree. Enjoy pictures with Santa at The Den & take a ride through downtown on a horse-drawn carriage! More information available on the Facebook Event Page.
Light Shows ✨
• Wayne County Lightfest
The grand opening will take place Thursday, November 21st from 6-6:30 pm at the Merriman Hollow Park in Westland. There will be refreshments, music, and fireworks before the Lightfest opens to traffic. The Wayne County Lightfest is open November 21st- December 31st. Weekdays 7pm-10pm & weekends 6pm-10pm. This Lightfest offers FIVE miles of colorful displays. You can also stop by the Santa Shelter for refreshments and pictures with Santa in Warrendale Park. The Santa Shelter is open November 22nd through December 23rd. The admission fee to enter the Lightfest is $5 per vehicle. More information available on their website.
• Wild Lights at the Detroit Zoo
Wild Lights at the Detroit Zoo Weekends begin November 16th through January 5th. Visit the Detroit Zoo to see more than 5 million LED lights!! Tickets and more information available on the Detroit Zoo website.
• Red Oaks Waterpark
Santa’s Rock N Lights beginning November 22nd through the new year. Weekdays 5 pm-9 pm & Weekends at 5 pm- 10 pm. Enjoy the almost mile-long drive through the light show! More information available on the Facebook Event Page.
• Trail of Lights Robert Williams Nature & Historical Learning Center
The Robert Williams Nature & Historical Learning Center in Davison, Michigan offers walking a trail of lights or taking the horse-drawn wagon ride and they even have a day for your furry friends to join you! • Downtown Rochester
Monday, November 25th from 6 pm to 9 pm
Lagniappe & The Big, Bright Light Show kicks off with over 1.5 million lights covering the buildings downtown. The show will continue every night from 5 pm to midnight through January 5th, 2020! More information available on the Facebook Event Page.
