Encourage Your Kids To Learn Better!

Regardless of age, we all need to be recognized for our efforts and motivated to keep pushing ourselves and achieving things. Parents should find useful tools to encourage their children, for example, positive reinforcement. The success of most of the things they want to accomplish in life will depend on it. It’s essential to note that each child has different needs; some children have autistic spectrum troubles; others may have physical difficulties.
The motivation may be intrinsic and extrinsic. This means that it will depend on others, in the case of extrinsic motivation, or on oneself in intrinsic motivation. When they are young, intrinsic motivation does not exist; it develops with age and requires a certain maturity level. It is very difficult or practically impossible for the child to know how to motivate themself, especially at the tender young ages of school. To encourage successfully, we have to be aware that we must do it; we cannot forget it. The role of parents’ motivation for any task should not be a substitute for the child. We must support but not carry out for them because only in this way will they learn that their effort is worth it. If we do it for them, they will not value the action in the same way. If the motivation should start with school, you may need to work out how you can encourage them to want to go to school and thrive when they are there.
Positive reinforcement, a valuable tool to work on motivation
Sometimes the little details are what can help kids get motivated, as well as the psychological aspect. You could look at new fun notebooks and pen sets for them to take to school or look at cute raincoats for kids, making them want to put their jackets on and get out of the front door. Look at new hairstyles for them or new shoes that will make them feel positive. Look at how to improve their study areas at home, to encourage writing, reading, and even creative recreational activities, such as painting.
The critical element is that positive recognition of their effort will motivate them to do the task again, which translates to their school life. They will see the result of their effort and its compensation and give them things to work towards. Your interest in their lives will stimulate them to want to show you more and more, which stops them from becoming withdrawn. Positive reinforcement is a unique tool to work on motivation, but we must not use it in the wrong way. We must value what we want them to learn to do and to repeat in such a way that they acquire a habit, but we must not make them see that they only live successful situations; they have to learn to be aware that everything they do does not always go to have a good result. What must always be valued is the effort they have made and that this effort is the motivation to do other things.
It’s almost impossible to think of childhood and play as separate elements. Although we usually do not give importance to the game itself, if we see a child who does not want to play, the alarms go off. And, if there is a vital activity in childhood, that is the game. Beyond entertainment, it is essential for children’s excellent development, and it is something that all adults should know.
During three and four years old, they begin to discover the real world around them. How do they do that? Through fantasy. Games are the perfect complement to explore and find that world and, therefore, for this age, fantasy and fiction games will be great. We must play with them at home and accompany them in the acquisition of roles. We can use imagination and transform a stick into a sword or a shoebox into a soldier’s armor.
During the years of five and seven, children learn to relate, follow the rules, and develop socially. Although they are not quite ready for games that involve following too complicated rules, group games and puzzles and constructions can be the best allies. Apart from providing the child with all the unique benefits that we have discussed, it provides them with many positive traits at the group level. It encourages integration in multicultural centers and makes all students look the same through empathy and socialization. It’s your job to promote that too for a happier future.
