Many of us have been struggling with this pandemic. Almost a year in and it still feels odd – something that we’re still not entirely used to. Now, there have been a host of difficulties that we’ve had to deal with as a result of coronavirus and Covid-19 spreading around the world. We’ve had to get used to spending the vast majority of our time indoors. We’ve had to accept not being able to spend time with the friends and family members we might want to. You may have found that you’re now working from home. If you have kids, they may be off school. This has thrown our usual routines upside down. So one area we’d recommend working on to help make your life feel a little more normal, manageable, and enjoyable again, is to add a little organization and routine to each of your days. This can give more structure to your life. Here are some suggestions that can help you along the way.

Create a Morning Routine

The first step you could take is creating a morning routine. It can be so tempting to sleep in and not get properly ready when you don’t necessarily have to leave the house most days. But getting up and ready for the day each morning can really help you to get each day off to the best and most productive start. So, set a wake-up time and try to stick to it each day. Avoid pressing the snooze button. Get up and eat a healthy breakfast – whether that’s whole-grain cereal, fruit, oatmeal, or anything else. Shower and brush your teeth. Get dressed – even if that’s just into fresh, comfortable loungewear. These steps will get you all set up on the right foot.

Schedule Your Tasks

If you have tasks to complete throughout the day, make sure to schedule them so that you can fit everything in with plenty of breaks. Whether that’s work and deadlines, teaching your little ones, checking stocks and shares, investing in cryptocurrency, preparing meals, or anything else that you plan to do with your day and consider a “must” on your to-do list. This will help to ensure that you don’t fall behind on anything!

Make Sure to Keep Free Time to Enjoy Yourself

Sure, we may not be able to go out and do all of the things that we’d usually like to. But we can carry out plenty of activities in the comfort of our own homes. So, make sure to create some free time in your schedule to simply do the things you enjoy. Reading. Watching a TV series. Knitting. Catching up with a friend on the phone. Having a nice long bath. Whatever it is you enjoy, make sure you accommodate it. Otherwise, life will become drab and you’ll feel like everything is a constant chore!

Hopefully, these tips and tricks will help you to bring a little more routine back into your life and balance things out so that your days are more enjoyable. Each step can really help, so try them all out!
