Some kids just love to help out! Some kids love to know they’re doing something to help others because it makes them feel involved, and it really helps them to develop the sense of why kindness is so important. And as a parent, that’s definitely something you want to instill in your child!

And as your naturally helpful child grows up, they’re going to start looking into the career they can do as an adult, and begin to work towards it. If you want them to stay true to their nature, you’re going to want to orientate them best as possible, while still allowing them to make their own choices. And in the medical field, they’ll find plenty of room for them!

Without further ado, here are some good health career ideas for kids who love to help. Make sure you suggest these to your child as a good path for them when they start to ask questions, especially if they’re not sure what they want to be when they’re grown up.

There are many different types of therapists out there, and it’s hard to group them together under one umbrella term, but for the sake of this post, it’s necessary!

Because a therapist is a person who can do a lot of good in their career, and if your child has the skill of being able to listen, and is a naturally thoughtful person as well, they may excel at this medical career type.

From being a psychiatric therapist to a physical therapist to even something as special as an art or music therapist, they should be able to find a specialism that suits them.

A hospitalist is someone who dedicates their career to looking after hospitalized patients, rarely ever going past this specialist field. This is someone who needs a lot of patience on their side, and the energy to keep on going, and if your child is the resilient type who always bounces back, this could be a good fit for them.

And good news! Many healthcare services out there are looking to hire a hospitalist on a regular basis. This is a job type that’s in high demand, so your child shouldn’t find any trouble in being able to secure a position once they become qualified.

Finally, a radiologist could be another good fit for your kid, especially if they’re a detailed orientated person who always seems to notice things that their classmates, friends, or siblings don’t.

A radiologist has the very important job of taking scans and understanding what the results say and then packaging this all up for the doctor to pass on to a patient. It’s an important job, and it could be a great one for your child to get involved with; the pay is quite high too!

If your child is someone who always does the kind thing and loves to help out, a healthcare career could be a great fit for them.
