Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum STEAM PARK!
The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum has always been a family favorite. It’s a place where the whole family can have a fun engaging experience!
We were honored to be one of the first families to experience over two dozen new interactive exhibits.
STEAM PARK powered by Toyota is a $1.5 million investment into our children’s future! It was designed to prepare and inspire the next generation & to create and strengthen pathways to steam careers as steam jobs continue to lead in prosperity.
“STEAM PARK provides multiple moments of discovery for visitors of all ages, revealing the awe and wonder of science, technology, engineering and math through arts-inspired hands-on experiences,” said Mel Drumm, president and CEO of the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum.
You can see my children fully engaged with the variety of mechanical exhibits such as this 16 foot Window Maze Ball Machine, Air Current Exhibit, & AirFoil Exhibit.
In addition to opening STEAM PARK,
the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum is working to refresh the popular preschool gallery formerly named “Engineers On A Roll”. Toyota’s funding will support its renovation, which will be called STEAM PLAY, and the creation of new preschool exhibits. The Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum will work to launch this space over the next 12 months.
My children were especially fond of the children’s STEAM PLAY exhibits. They were amazed watching all the different mechanisms as balls make their way across the room on tracks.
After watching for a few minutes, they jumped right in and let their imagination run wild. Before long they spotted the water play station where they operated the Archimedes’ Screw & played with sea animals in the water basins.
We loved our immersive time at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. The newest exhibits are now open to the public! You can visit during normal museum hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10:00a.m.-5:00p.m.
