Feldman Automotive Group to Help Fulfill Need for Donations at Lighthouse.

Dealerships step in to help fill desperate need for Michigan families.

WHAT:

With the requests for assistance from Lighthouse at an all-time high and supplies at their food warehouse reaching critically low levels, Feldman Automotive Group Dealerships across Southeast Michigan will become collection sites for anyone in the community to drop off non-perishable food donations for Lighthouse during the month of May. This time of the year food donations are in higher demand to help support children during summer break to aid with breakfast and lunches, both crucial meals they usually receive only during the school year.

WHY:

The need for access to food donations from Lighthouse has never been greater.  In 2019, Lighthouse provided food to 10,000 individuals for the entire year and in 2024, they have assisted 12,000 individuals during January alone.  With shelves sitting nearly empty at Lighthouse’s food warehouse in Pontiac, Feldman Automotive has offered their dealerships across Southeast Michigan as sites for anyone to drop off much-needed donations at a location convenient to them.

Lighthouse is particularly in need of mac and cheese, peanut butter, jelly, canned meat, canned fruit and vegetables, cereal, granola bars, rice, boxed potatoes, prepared meals, etc.
