THE VILLAGE OF ROCHESTER HILLS TO HOLD CAR SEAT SAFETY CHECKUP EVENT

Hosted by Rochester Hills Fire Department

Friday, May 3, 2024

WHAT

The Village of Rochester Hills, metropolitan Detroit’s premier outdoor lifestyle shopping and dining destination, will be holding a car seat checkup safety event on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 1:30pm – 4:00pm. The event, which is hosted by the Rochester Hills Fire Department, will inspect your child’s car seat to make sure it is positioned and installed correctly, check for any recalls, and demonstrate proper harnessing and installation. While on-site, children will be invited to check out the Rochester Hills fire truck.

Children are required to be in a child safety seat until they are eight years old. As they grow older, how they sit in the car will change. Location of where they sit, what type of safety seat they will need, and how the straps or seat belt are positioned are all important things to consider when making sure your child is safe in any vehicle. To book an appointment visit TheVORH.com or just drive up any-time between 1:30pm and 4:00pm this Friday and meet with the Rochester Hills Fire Department and learn important tools you will need in case the seat is ever removed and reinstalled in the vehicle.
