Michigan Animal Rescue League To Host Pet Supply Donation Drive at Emagine Theatres to Support “THE GARFIELD MOVIE” Opening

“MICHIGAN ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE HOSTS DONATION DRIVE AT SELECT EMAGINE THEATRES TO CELEBRATE THE OPENING OF “THE GARFIELD.”

WHAT:

Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL), one of southeast Michigan’s most established animal shelters, has partnered with Emagine Theatres to host a pet-supply donation drive at three local area Emagine Theatres. The donation drive is happening in conjunction with the opening of “The Garfield Movie” which will be released in theaters nationwide on May 24, 2024.

MARL is “A Different Breed of Shelter” that provides life-saving care to over 1500 animals each year, playing an extremely valuable role providing services to at-risk and homeless dogs and cats as well as to members of the community who are struggling to keep their pets a part of their family.

They provide the highest quality of life to dogs and cats through rescue, medical care, socialization and behavioral support, short-and-long term sanctuary, adoption, and community education and outreach.

Due to health code restrictions, MARL will only be accepting NEW donation items. From Friday, May 24 – Sunday, June 2, 2024 donations can be dropped off at any of the three participating Emagine Theatre locations. A full catalog of wish list items can be found online at www.marl.org under “get involved.”

Suggested donation items include:

Wet dog food – all brands

Wet cat food – all brands

Dry cat and kitten food – Purina One

Dry dog and puppy food – Purina One

New Cat Toys – all types

New Fleece Blankets

Clorox Disinfecting Wipes

Paper Towels

Clay Clumping Cat Litter

New Dog Toys & Chews – all types

In “The Garfield Movie”, Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt) the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist. This family-friendly movie is rated PG and will be playing at all Emagine Theatre locations beginning May 24, 2024.

The pet supply donation drive will take place during regular operating hours Friday, May 24, 2024 – Sunday, June 2, 2024.
