Basically, it feels like it’s getting in the way of getting your dream career, right? Okay, while sure, it’s a common experience, but here’s the thing: confidence during a tough interview isn’t just helpful—it’s pretty much needed.

Yes, it’s 100% needed and a major must! So, if the pressure is on, staying confident can make all the difference between landing the job and walking away wondering what went wrong. Alright, it’s way easier said than done. Sure, there’s no doubt about it, but it still needs to be recognized.

Now, if you’re preparing for a job interview with hearing loss (as an example, of course), you might have extra concerns about communication or technology (that and maybe how you’ll get treated, which is understandable). But overall, just staying confident in your ability to manage those situations helps shift the focus to your skills and strengths rather than any potential hurdles. Overall, it’s about staying level-headed, and confidence is seriously the biggest way to go at this, too.

Keeping the Conversation Going

So, here’s the thing you need to keep in mind: an interview isn’t just about answering questions—it’s a conversation. Confidence makes it easier to engage with the interviewer, ask your own questions, and show genuine interest in the role. It also allows you to control the flow of the conversation a bit more, steering it toward your strengths and experiences.

But believe it or not, staying confident keeps things flowing and helps you build a connection with the interviewer—something that can really set you apart from other candidates.
