Selena Gomez Named Michigan’s Most Influential Celebrity Beauty Guru!

New data reveals the most in-demand celebrity beauty brands in Michigan.

The research, conducted by marketing experts Skyline Social, examined online search data for celebrity-owned beauty brands. The brands with the highest average monthly search volume have been named the most sought-after ahead of this year’s Black Friday sales.

Rare Beauty ranks first, with 6792 average monthly searches in numerous states, including Michigan. The vegan and cruelty-free brand has a range of shades and products to enjoy, including the Lip Soufflé Matte Lip Cream and Soft Pinch Liquid Blush.

In second, with 5275 average monthly searches, is Fenty Beauty.

Nine-time Grammy Award-winner and fashion designer Rihanna first launched the brand in 2017. It has since become a cult classic, offering high-quality, velvet foundations that come in 50 true-to-you shades.

Meaningful Beauty ranks third. Cindy Crawford’s beauty brand has 2067 average monthly searches. American model, Cindy Crawford, co-founded the brand with aesthetic specialist Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh in 2004. It has since launched beauty and skincare products aimed at consumers aged 35 and above.

Goop follows in fourth, with 2017 average monthly searches in Michigan. Gwyneth Paltrow’s brand offers clean beauty and sexual wellness products, like the GoopGenes Nourishing Restore Body Butter.

Florence By Mills is the fifth-most popular celebrity-owned beauty brand, with 1993 average monthly searches. Founded in 2019 by Stranger Things actor, Millie Bobby Brown, the iconic lilac-themed brand is marketed towards Gen-Z consumers with beauty products designed for young skin. Millie has since expanded the brand with Florence by Mills Coffee.

Ash Davis from Skyline Social commented on the findings,

“These findings show that celebrity beauty brands are at the forefront of consumer interest this year. Rare Beauty, Fenty Beauty, and Meaningful Beauty have proven to be fan-favorites in Michigan for their high-quality products and celebrity allure, and consumers can expect these coveted brands to be among the most sought-after as holiday shopping heats up.”

Methodology

This campaign analyzed Google search data for celebrity-owned beauty brands. The brands with the highest average monthly search volume for a combination of key terms – such as ‘Fenty Beauty’, ‘Fenty Skin’, and ‘Rihanna beauty products’ – have been named the most in-demand.
