The Village of Rochester Hills Brings More Free Events To Their Outdoor Shopping Center This August

WHAT
The Village of Rochester Hills, metropolitan Detroit’s premier outdoor lifestyle shopping and dining destination, invites the community to enjoy a vibrant lineup of free summer events all season long. Each week, guests can experience a variety of educational, physical, and musical activities perfect for families, friends, and visitors of all ages. Stroll around the Village of Rochester Hills’ picturesque open-air center, take in the sunshine and fresh air, and create lasting memories!
Highlights this August include Music & Me classes with Miss Calissa and Ms. Jenna every Monday and Wednesday which feature fun, interactive classes for young children that encourage movement, language, and bonding through music. On August 7 and 21, Bugs on Wheels returns with Ms. Nadia “The Bug Lady” for hands-on, educational sessions featuring live insects and fascinating facts for curious minds of all ages. Each week guests will enjoy free outdoor musical entertainment. On August 21, YogaSix will be hosting a free outdoor flow class. On Saturday, August 23, the Village of Rochester Hills welcomes back Mobile Dueling Pianos during a high-energy, all-request entertaining rock n’ roll show that will be sure to get the crowd singing, dancing, and laughing.
The Village of Rochester Hills, conveniently located at the corner of Adams and Walton Road, in Rochester Hills, has over 50 unique and sought-after retailers as well as an enhanced and unique culinary selection of restaurants. Evening Time: 6:00pm-7:00pm
Location: Festival Park
Bugs on Wheels will be bringing out their crawly friends for all ages to visit. Ms. Nadia, “The Bug Lady” will be hosting two informal educational sessions, one at 10:00am and the other at 6:00pm. This experience gives both children and adults the opportunity to better understand and appreciate how amazing, important, and not-so-scary bugs really are. Attendees will be educated and entertained as they see, touch, and hold some amazing little creatures. Take a look at taxidermy and see what scientists who study these creatures do in order to save and study them.
Friday, August 8
Live Music from UC3 Trio Band (Rock)
Time: 5:00pm-8:00pm
Location: Festival Park
This week, you can experience the sounds of summer with UC3 Trio.
Lawn games will be set up around Festival Park for you to enjoy while the music plays. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets as you enjoy some free outdoor entertainment.

Mommies and Daddies, Grandmas and Grandpas, and Uncles and Aunts are invited to bring their little ones and participate in these fun, free, and interactive music classes. Bring your little ones and a blanket (classes are geared towards children birth to five years) and get ready to sing, dance, and shake rhythmic instruments together! Classes are led by Ms. Jenna from Music Together who teaches Mini Musicians classes.
Thursday, August 21

YogaSix will be hosting a FREE outdoor flow yoga class where you will explore individual postures and
transitions. You will gently engage, open, and strengthen the body by tapping into accessible yoga poses, fluid movement, and breath. YogaSix is a modern yoga experience that is energizing, empowering, and fun. Guests should bring their own yoga mats to call. No registration required.

Mobile Dueling Pianos will be energizing the crowds with a free high-energy, interactive rock n roll, comedy show that will be something all ages will enjoy. Anyone in the crowd can request any song, and the piano players will play it!! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and get ready to sing, dance, and clap along!
