In-Club Fundraiser Supports Judgement Free Generation® Programming to Advance Youth Wellbeing and Create Kinder Communities!

DETROIT, MI (October  2025) – Planet Fitness, one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers with more members than any other fitness brand, announced the return of its annual October fundraising campaign to support Boys & Girls Clubs of America. This year’s Planet Fitness fundraising campaign marks a transformative decade of empowering youth to build kinder, more inclusive communities with Boys & Girls Clubs of America. From October 1-31, all Planet Fitness clubs across the United States will invite members to donate to Boys & Girls Clubs of America by visiting their local Planet Fitness front desk or donating online.* 100 percent of donations will support programming as part of the Judgement Free Generation® initiative.

In Michigan,

EPIC Fitness Group and Impact Fitness have launched local, impactful initiatives over the years as an extension of the national partnership. Each year, they host “Strike Out Bullying Day” in partnership with the Detroit Tigers, partnering with the team to raise awareness about bullying while encouraging a kinder, more inclusive environment for children. As part of the event, the franchise owners donate $10,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan to support anti-bullying programming. Michigan Planet Fitness clubs also lead an Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive, collecting thousands of supplies at Planet Fitness locations across the state for their local Boys & Girls Clubs ahead of the school year. In addition, with every new club opening, the Michigan franchise owners donate to the local Boys & Girls Club chapter, an initiative that, over the years, has added up to tens of thousands of dollars which have contributed directly to area youth programs.

“As local franchise owners, we are committed to making a difference right here in our own communities,” stated Mary Scott, VP of Marketing for EPIC Fitness Group, a Planet Fitness franchise division. “Through initiatives like Strike Out Bullying Day, we’re proud to help create safe, supportive spaces where kids feel accepted, encouraged, and empowered to succeed.”

Members, franchisees, and community supporters can contribute to October’s fundraiser by visiting their local Planet Fitness front desk or donating online*.
