Southfield, Mich. (Nov.  2025) –  Council Re|Sale (3297 W. 12 Mile Road, Berkley, MI 48072) one of the oldest resale shops in metro Detroit, is offering deep discounts to metro Detroit families wanting to stock up on warm clothing, festive party wear, home décor and gifts for loved ones. From now through December there will be a variety of sales, offering some relief to families who are struggling with recent economic uncertainties and high prices in stores. Council Re|Sale is operated by National Council of Jewish Women, Michigan (NCJW|MI) and is known for carrying high-end clothing, including designer wear, jewelry, shoes and household items all donated by the community. The store expanded by 4,400 sq. ft. earlier this year, offering the opportunity for more treasures to be available on the shop floor. For images click here.

“Many families have really struggled this year, from fears about food security, to dealing with prices of everyday goods that have skyrocketed,” said NCJW|MI’s President Amy Zeskind. “We are here to share the amazing donations our store gets from the community, with our extended community, at the lowest prices we can offer. Nobody wants gift-giving to cause hardship, so shopping at Council Re|Sale, can really help your budget go further.”
