Honoring and Remembering All Who Served on this Memorial Day
On this Memorial Day,
it’s not about the day off and BBQs etc.; it’s about remembering everyone who served, fought, and died for our country.
“Memorial Day, a federal holiday held the last Monday in May, is the nation’s foremost annual day to mourn and honor its deceased service men and women.” ~U.S Department of Veterans Affairs
Important history about Memorial Day is that it was initially called Decoration Day. It was a “Memorial Day Order” issued by Grand Army of the Republic Commander-in-Chief John A. Logan in 1868.
God Bless America!
