Key West Named Michigan’s Favorite Staycation Destination

New research has revealed Michigan’s favorite staycation destinations.
The study by luxury travel advisors The Resorts Collection analyzed Google search volumes over the past 12 months for a list of 100 popular US domestic vacation destinations to find the spots that Michigan searches for most.
Key West comes out on top, with the Florida destination searched an average of 350 times a month across Michigan.
In second place is Myrtle Beach, with 258 searches a month.
Outer Banks takes third place, with 224 searches a month.
Yosemite follows in fourth place, with 212 searches a month.
In fifth place is Orlando, with 202 searches a month.

A list of 100 of the most popular US domestic vacation destinations was used as a seed list, with search volumes for the past 12 months sourced from Google Keyword Planner and then ranked by how often people in Michigan searched for each one. Destinations with the same search volume share a rank.
