Florida Teenage Son and Mom Launch HUSH Pro USA, an Inclusive Men’s Grooming Tools Brand

A Tampa-based teenaged son-mom duo have launched a new grooming brand, HUSH Pro USA. The brand addresses an overlooked issue: the stress of loud clippers and trimmers without sacrificing performance. The company founded by Kobe (who is a high school senior) and Sandy Deng, launched with a simple mission: make professional-quality grooming tools more accessible, comfortable, and enjoyable to use.

Kobe and Sandy with the HUSH Pro USA team,

have been attending tradeshows, giving seminars on sensory sensitivities, contributing to organizations supporting Autism including the Autism Society of Greater Orlando, all while launching the new men’s grooming tool line which includes the HUSH Pro Clipper, HUSH Pro Trimmer, HUSH Pro Shaver and replacement blades.

“What began as a focus on affordability quickly evolved into a broader commitment to quieter, more intentional grooming experiences after customers consistently highlighted how remarkably quiet our tools were,” Kobe reflects. “I saw that many aspiring barbers, stylists, and students were discouraged by tools that were expensive, intimidating, and often excessively loud. At HUSH Pro USA, we wanted to create products that deliver professional performance while remaining approachable, affordable, and comfortable for a wider range of users.”

HUSH Pro USA, the US partner for HUSH Pro International, was created to remove barriers in professional grooming.

“We saw an opportunity to introduce a different kind of grooming experience,” Kobe explains. “While many tools focus solely on power, we believed performance should also include comfort, control, and consideration for the environment around the user. The overwhelmingly positive response to the quiet operation of our products showed us there was a significant need for tools that reduce unnecessary sensory stress without sacrificing professional results.”

The brand’s products are ideal for those with sensory sensitivity.

“The focus emerged organically through both customer feedback and personal experience. Customers consistently commented on how much quieter our tools were compared to traditional clippers,” she continues. “At the same time, my experience working in early childhood education alongside ABA therapists and Registered Behavior Technicians gave me firsthand insight into how noise and sensory input can affect individuals differently.”

Together, those experiences helped HUSH Pro USA recognize that quieter tools could create a more comfortable grooming experience for many people, including those with sensory sensitivities.

One common misconception is that sensory accommodations are only relevant to a small group of people.

“In reality, everyone experiences sensory input differently. Loud noises, vibration, and overstimulation can affect children, adults, neurodivergent individuals, and even professionals working long hours,” Kobe believes. “We believe inclusion doesn’t require specialized services. It often starts with better-designed tools. By reducing noise while maintaining performance, we help create environments that feel more welcoming and comfortable for a broader range of clients without requiring barbers or stylists to change the way they work.”

HUSH Pro USA’s clippers operate at approximately 48 decibels,

and its trimmers at approximately 46 decibels. Traditional professional clippers often operate significantly louder, typically ranging from around 60 to 80 decibels depending on the model.

“The difference may sound small numerically, but because decibels are measured on a logarithmic scale, users often perceive our tools as dramatically quieter,” Kobe adds.

Reducing noise wasn’t about reducing power in the creation of the HUSH Pro USA grooming tools. “We focused on optimizing motor efficiency, vibration control, component precision, and overall engineering design,” Kobe explains. “The goal was to eliminate unnecessary noise while preserving the cutting performance professionals expect. The result is a tool that feels controlled and refined rather than simply loud.”

As Kobe and Sandy continue to expand HUSH Pro USA’s product line, the emphasis is to “continue developing products that combine professional performance with thoughtful design,” Sandy adds. “Our vision is to become a leader in quiet, user-centered grooming technology while expanding educational partnerships and increasing awareness around inclusive grooming experiences.”

Inclusive design will become a competitive advantage rather than a niche consideration,

Kobe adds. “The brands that succeed will be the ones that recognize that users have different needs, preferences, and sensitivities,” he continues. “Designing for a broader range of experiences ultimately leads to better products for everyone.”

Since launching HUSH Pro USA, Kobe reflects on customer reactions. “The most meaningful feedback comes from families, professionals, and individuals who tell us that grooming has become less stressful and more comfortable,” he adds. “Hearing that a child tolerated a haircut more easily or that a barber noticed a calmer environment in their shop reinforces why we do what we do.”
