Janome America, a leader in sewing, quilting, and embroidery innovation, today launched “Janome-Versary,” a celebration of the brand’s engineering legacy and decades of innovation. At the center of the celebration is the return of a design icon, SewSwitch30, a modern reimagining of Janome’s groundbreaking 1986 “Combi” machine.
The Return of a Classic: SewSwitch30
Originally introduced in 1986, the “Combi” represented Janome’s forward-thinking approach to sewing machine design. SewSwitch30 brings that spirit of innovation back for a new generation, reimagining the original machine while celebrating the engineering legacy that helped make it an icon.
Reflecting Janome’s “Celebrating Janome Engineering” theme, SewSwitch30 combines the character of the original with a contemporary design built for today’s sewists.
SewSwitch30 is available for pre-order beginning today through Janome dealers, with machines arriving in stores in October.
As part of the broader Janome-Versary celebration, Janome is also introducing Skyline 8, the first mid-size machine in the brand’s lineup to feature stitch regulation, alongside the HD8 and HD9, the latest additions to its Straight Stitch Revolution. All three machines are available through local Janome dealers.
Pricing varies by dealer. Consumers are encouraged to visit their local Janome dealer for product details, pricing, and availability.
