It’s amazing what becomes a “must have” in one’s household. For my household, it has been Tea Tree Oil for several years.
“Tea tree oil, or melaleuca oil, is an essential oil with a fresh camphoraceous odor and a color that ranges from pale yellow to nearly colorless and clear. It is taken from the leaves of the Melaleuca alternifolia, which is native to Southeast Queensland and the Northeast coast of New South Wales, Australia“….Source: Wikipedia.org
Please realize, not all tea tree oils are created equal. The brand I have always purchased is high-grade Melaleuca oil. (All authentic Australian Tea Tree oil must state on the label that it is the oil of the “Melaleuca alternifolia”.) Some companies sell substandard grades which provide very little medicinal value. High grade Melaleuca oil can soothe bug bites, bee stings, minor cuts and scrapes, minor burns, splinters, blisters, irritated skin and more. What more would a mom want in her home or in her bag of goodies when she’s away from the house? As mentioned, this product has become a staple for my household. I even take it on vacation with me!
Here are a few symptoms and ideas where I’ve used the tea oil in my home:

Realize the uses are endless! These are just the uses I could think of off the top of my head.
What I love about this product is that it is cost saving. When I look at the list above, I realize I just saved myself time and money by not running to purchase another product off the shelves of a drugstore to cure any one of these ailments. I’m sure the drugstores just cringe at moms like me because I’m not rushing into their store to purchase quick-fix items for my family. I’m frugal and I love it!
Give tea tree oil a try if you haven’t already!
