Are you in major need of healthy snack options for the kiddos?  As a mom of three, I want my girls to be creative in their choices, but I also want the snacks to of course be healthy. Since the back-to-school season is upon us, healthy after school snacks can easily slip through the cracks. Here are some quick healthy snack ideas for your kids:

Lady Finger Popcorn

These are baby corn kernels popped so tiny, kids get a kick out of them.  Instead of vegetable oil, use Coconut oil to hand pop your popcorn.  We don’t use microwavable popcorn as there are chemicals etc., coated the bag, at least this is what I have heard.  It’s fun for kiddies to watch the popcorn pop in a pan with clear lid.  It’s healthier too.  Add very little salt and butter and you are good to go!

Apple Slices with Peanut Butter and Nutella Dip

Wash apples thoroughly then use your apple cutter and place slices on a plate.  Put peanut butter and/or any kind of hazelnut spread in separate dipping bowls and place in center of plate.  Stick toothpicks in each apple slice and presto! Kids love it and it’s healthy too!

What are your favorite healthy snack ideas? You will get a chance to answer this as a giveaway entry option!

With that said, to celebrate kids and healthy eating, Door-to-Door Organics is offering two readers a swag bag each along with a $50 gift certificate to their shop.

Sounds awesome doesn’t it?  If you are ready to join in the fun.  Just enter the #SnackAttactics Back to School Giveaway below.  Please read terms and conditions thoroughly before entering.

  1. I love serving up muffins with a healthy dose of berries and apple sauce or bananas to keep them moist and tasty. Some other things by adding nuts to desserts and chunks of fresh fruit or serving parfaits instead of pudding as a treat.
