Immigration…Big word for those of us who live in the USA these days. Very hard situation for all to understand whether you are an adult or a child. With immigration, you are either on the inside looking out or the outside looking in. Sometimes helps those who are on the outside looking in, see from a child’s prospective the fear and misunderstanding of those on the inside and also to help understand that they too have dreams and hopes for their future.

Sometimes is a picture book geared toward Grades 4-8 (middle school). It can be purchased at Amazon.

About the Authors:

HUGO IBARRA currently serves as an elementary school principal in the Bryan/College Station area in Texas. He has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Tyler in the Educational Leadership Department. He attended the Universidad Iberoamericana in Puebla, Mexico and received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 2001. In the Spring of 2015, Hugo Ibarra started a graduate program at Texas A&M University in the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Culture, where he continues to attend courses. He enjoys reading, getting to know people, and serving the communities where he works.

JOHN SEIDLITZ, founder and CEO of Seidlitz Education, works with teachers around the country implementing strategies that promote academic language development through innovative trainings and materials. Mr. Seidlitz is a former social studies and ESL teacher, and has served as a secondary ESL program coordinator and a state education specialist. In 2009 Mr. Seidlitz founded Seidlitz Education with the mission of Giving Kids the Gift of Academic Language.
