My Family Just Can’t Get Enough of Regal Springs Tilapia! {Review}

I received samples of Regal Springs Tilapia to try with my family.  Any opinions expressed here are honest and my own.

In a previous post, I shared with you my first-time experience with Regal Springs Tilapia.  I was so excited when they offered me the chance to review their amazing product again.

To recap here is a little bit of info about Regal Springs Tilapia:

Regal Springs has a two-fold mission:

  1. To grow the best tilapia in the world.
  2. To do it right by empowering the fish-farming communities with economic and social development as an alternative to nonprofit aid.

“Not All Tilapia are Created Equal.”

All fresh Regal Springs Tilapia are raised in large floating nets in pristine deep-water lakes in Mexico and Honduras, resulting in the finest all-natural tilapia on the market. The floating nets prevent their fish from eating algae, mud, or waste.  The clean water and controlled diet prevents the tilapia from ingesting high-quality vegetable-based diet and swim against lake currents to produce firm, clean-tasting fillets, free from chemicals, growth hormones, antibiotics, and carbon monoxide (a common preservative used in seafood).

Regal Springs’ tilapia is a healthy protein choice for a balanced diet.  As stated previously, the fish is high in protein while low in calories, fat, and carbohydrates, plus it’s gluten-free.  Additionally, their tilapia is rich in vitamin B-12, niacin, selenium, phosphorous, and magnesium.  Omega-3 levels in tilapia match that of other popular seafood, including Mahi-Mahi and Yellowfin tuna.

“We believe that when the people who farm tilapia are healthy and successful, the fish that they produce will be the world’s finest.  For us, sustainability depends on environmentally sound production methods, which translates into educational, structural, and social programs throughout our faming communities.  We are involved in hundreds of programs and invest more than $2 million dollars each year.  We have built or funded medical clinics, schools, and housing in each of the countries in which we operate.  Additionally, we provide strong wages, free healthcare, and childhood and adult education for our employees and families in communities where these necessities often go unmet by the government.” ~Regal Springs

Last time we tried out a delicious recipe from Taste of Home.  This time we mixed it up and tried a Chili Lime recipe with Cilantro.  Hubby took the reigns and loves experimenting with different ingredients.  It was absolutely amazing!  At first you would think hmmmm Chili Lime spice on fish?  Yeah, don’t knock it until you try it, haha! 😉

Here is our yummy dish:

I would like to thank the folks over at Regal Springs again for giving my family the opportunity of trying their fish fillets.  We will be buying this product again in the future.
