WHAT:
Emagine Entertainment will be hosting a special one-night only screening, Q&A and Meet & Greet event at Emagine Saline on Friday, September 13, 2024, where guests will have the chance to participate in a Q&A and meet Frank Jasper, star of the 1985 cult classic film VISION QUEST. Jasper played Shute, the state wrestling champion who was the opposing wrestler to the main character, Louden Swain, played by actor Matthew Modine. Jasper will be participating in a special Q&A prior to the showing of the film and will be participating in a meet and greet with fans right after the film where guests can purchase an autograph and picture with the star.
Jasper was a high school wrestler and athletic trainer at Eastern Washington University when he was approached about the role by a friend. The friend told him that the movie was looking for someone who was six feet tall and knew how to wrestle. Jasper thought he might be a good fit, and he ended up cutting weight for the role. In VISION QUEST, a high school wrestler (played by Matthew Modine) in Spokane, Washington has trouble focusing on his training regimen when a beautiful young drifter (played by Linda Fiorentino) takes up temporary residence at his home.
Anthony LaVerde, CEO of Emagine Entertainment, shared, “At Emagine, our tagline is ‘The Magic of Movies and More.’ We’re thrilled to offer our guests unique opportunities to watch films and engage with stars in an intimate setting.
