Cocomelon Named the Most Searched YouTube Channel in the U.S.

  • Cocomelon is the most searched YouTube channel in the U.S., with over 87,000 Google searches a month.
  • MrBeast ranks second and appears in every state’s top five most searched channels. 
  • Taylor Swift tops the list for musical artists with more monthly searches than Ariana Grande and Billie Eilish combined.

New research from Riverside, an all-in-one podcast and video creation platform, has identified the most popular YouTube channels across the U.S., based on average monthly Google searches.

Nationally, children’s entertainment giant Cocomelon dominates as the most searched channel. Cocomelon claims the top spot in 49 states with an average of 87,607 Google searches per month across the country.

Florida shows the highest interest in Cocomelon with 7,425 average monthly Google searches, followed by New York (7,042) and Texas (7,275).

With over 410 million YouTube subscribers, content creator MrBeast ranks second and also appears in every state’s top five list. MrBeast is searched for an average of 26,863 times a month.

Taylor Swift ranks third, attracting an average of 9,828 Google searches across the U.S. each month. Taylor Swift is the most searched YouTube channel in Alaska and ranks third in 28 other states.

WWE is fourth with an average of 9,227 Google searches per month across the country. From legendary matches to backstage drama, WWE’s YouTube channel keeps fans coming back for entertaining content.

In fifth place is Dude Perfect with an average of 4,409 Google searches per month. This sports and entertainment YouTube channel is known for its creative trick shots, challenges, and comedic content.

Mark Rober, known for his engaging science and educational videos, ranks sixth with over 3,101 average monthly Google searches. Close behind is the animated children’s channel Masha and The Bear with 3,045 searches.

Ariana Grande is eighth with 1,779 average monthly Google searches and Vlad and Niki, who create imaginative play and toy unboxing videos, follow with 1,769 searchesBillie Eilish rounds out the top 10 with 1,658 average monthly Google searches.

Speaking on the findings, Abel Grunfeld, VP of Marketing at Riverside, said: 

“This data shows how YouTube video consumption influences the popularity of channels across the U.S., but also in each state. The strong presence of children’s channels like Cocomelon and Masha and the Bear suggests that for many, YouTube has become a reliable source of entertainment and distraction for families.

“At the same time, the presence of high-profile content creators like MrBeast and Dude Perfect shows how viewer support is key to their success, as MrBeast remains the most-subscribed channel on YouTube, with over 410 million subscribers as of July 2025.

“The searches for MrBeast and Taylor Swift as top channels suggest Americans are looking for both original creator content and traditional music on the platform. For content creators, understanding these preferences can help them tailor their strategies to reach specific audiences more effectively, and in turn, generate more revenue.”

Methodology:

Monthly average search volume data was taken from Google Keyword Planner based on searches over the past 12 months to reveal the rankings. The search terms analyzed were [youtuber] youtube.

The combined search volume for each item’s terms was calculated, and then used to rank the items from highest number of average monthly searches to lowest.
