March is shaping up to be a lively month in Greektown, with festive St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and game day experiences that make the district a go-to destination.
4 Days of St. Patty’s at Old Shillelagh
- The district’s signature St. Patty’s celebration returns offering live entertainment and serving Irish beer, spirits and fare all weekend long.

- Friday, 3/13: Irish lunch followed by live entertainment and DJ at night
- Saturday, 3/14: “St. Practice Day” kicks off at 11 a.m. with live music 12-5 p.m., a rooftop DJ at 1, and a DJ inside from 3 p.m. to close
- Sunday, 3/15: DJs at 2 p.m. for a post-parade celebration – plus a food truck at the parade in Corktown
- Tuesday, 3/17: Doors open at 7 a.m. for a day filled with live music, Irish beer and fare
Game Day Go-To
- March Madness: With 30+ restaurants and bars to choose from, Greektown is the perfect place for fans to catch the games while enjoying dinner and drinks.
- Detroit Red Wings: Fans can park in one of 6,000+ spots in and around Greektown, enjoy dinner and drinks, then take a quick shuttle to the arena. Shuttles begin one hour before game time (6 p.m. for a 7 p.m. puck drop), run every 30 minutes, and continue until one-hour post-game. Pickup locations include St. Antoine (in front of Hollywood Casino Hotel), Beaubien & Macomb, and Brush & Macomb.
