Sky Pony Press is pleased to announce two non-fiction titles by Jim Murphy for all of the aspiring inventors in your lives! Complete with over 100 colored illustrations of these crazy creations, these books are the perfect gift for any child interested in science and inventions!

WEIRD & WACKY INVENTIONS is a compilation of the weirdest and wackiest inventions and presented them in a quiz style that is challenging and fun. Simple, clear explanations are provided on how the inventions worked or failed to work.

In the follow up to WEIRD & WACKY INVENTIONS, BAFFLING & BIZARRE INVENTIONS shows kids some baffling and utterly silly inventions in the form of a guessing game that is both challenging and fun. This entertaining book offers a glimpse into the life of inventors—both good and bad!

Inventions are basically created to solve a problem.  Some solved the inventor’s problems, some failed.  In WEIRD & WACKY INVENTIONS, BAFFLING & BIZARRE INVENTIONS, your kiddos will truly crack up to some of the “so-called” inventions in history. instrument to check for bad breath, training pants for dogs, a spaghetti fork, and jumping shoes, just to name a few.

Even though these books are recommended for ages 9–12, my 14-year-old daughter really enjoyed reading both invention books and laughed her way thru them and wanted to share some of the silly inventions with the rest of the family.  I also personally think these books would be great gifts for adults who love inventions or are “wanna be” inventors.

WEIRD & WACKY INVENTIONS, BAFFLING & BIZARRE INVENTIONS  can be purchased at Amazon, Barnes & Noble or anywhere books are sold.
