Independent Consultants, Distributors, Reps, Working for the same Brand/Company


I am so excited to say that Michigan Home Mommy Works is getting recognized by so many of you. I am delighted and thrilled by the responses thus far.  A few of you have actually asked the same question this week that I thought I should address today.

How does this work as to not step on a fellow consultant’s toes while working with Michigan Home Mommy Works?”

Realistically, Michigan Home Mommy Works was created to bring fair opportunities for all moms with businesses whether it’s their own creative business or signing up to be a team member for say: Avon, Mary Kay, etc.  Even though my disclaimer states:

This blog does contain content which might present a conflict of interest. This content may not always be identified.”

This is clearly stated in the disclaimer on the blog just in case I accidentally overlook someone.  I will always strive to work something out between two or more consultants, reps, or distributors working for the same brand or company.

This is how it will work in the days ahead…


Say two Mary Kay Consultants contact me in the same week wanting to have their business showcased.  One would like to do a $10 giveaway and the other a $25 feature post. (This can be any paid option on the blog).  The one that contacted me first, will get their opportunity for the following week and the other will be put on a waiting list.  After one full month, the other consultant on the waiting list will have their opportunity to have their Mary Kay business showcased.  If one of the options they have chosen happens to be the yearly advertising opportunity on the blog, the other consultant will be placed on the waiting list for the following year and will be followed up accordingly to confirm interest.

What about the Online Guides…Spring, Holidays, etc.?  Same idea will apply as only one rep. per company will be allowed to advertise in the guides.  The others will go on a waiting list for future guides and so forth.

If two consultants, reps, or distributors of the same company (i.e. Thirty-One), contact me to be in the fall guide, the one to contact me first will get top priority.  The other consultant will be on the list for the next guide guaranteeing a spot and so forth.  Hopefully this helps everyone and gives you all a fair shot to showcase your business.  This is my goal.  Remember, you don’t have to be a mom with a business to utilize Michigan Home Mommy Works.  I just ask the business will be of interest to moms.
